HomeSet your sights on the next APT Taiwan 2021 featured event – the CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT – which runs from March 4 to 8 at the CTP Club Taipei (Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association). This is another highly revered tournament by the Asian Poker Tour and it comes with a NT 2,000,000 guarantee (~US$ 71,500). As always, the eventual champion will walk away wealthy while hoisting the APT Champion’s Ring and APT Golden Lion Main Event Trophy.
Through the years, 24 players have captured this event. The latest was Chin Kai Chen at the APT Taichung 2020 Championships. Other past winners were:

Championships Event details
For a chance at glory and at the NT$ 2,000,000 (~US$ 71,500) guarantee, two starting days are scheduled. Buy in is NT$ 25,300 (~US$ 908). It is a deep format tournament with blinds increasing every 60 minutes. Players start with a 50,000 stack which is 250 times the opening big blind (100-200). All starting days bag up at the end of Level 8. To ensure everyone gets a chance to play, late registration stays open for another two hours in Day 2, closing at the start of Level 11. Players that have qualified to Day 2 may attempt for multiple stacks on the next starting day however only their largest stack advances.

If you haven’t heard, players that get on the felt early will be eligible for the APT’s Bubble Protection incentive. This is a great perk to have in the event that you are short stacked during the bubble round. If a protected player falls on the bubble, that player will receive his/her buy in back in the form of APT tournament credits. To be eligible you simple need to complete these three steps:
- Pre-Register
- Draw for your seat before starting time
- Have your chips put into play on the first deal of Level 1
