Cards in the air for the 2022 APT Taichung Championship

TAICHUNG CITY, Taiwan – The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taichung Championship is now underway with participants currently engaged in the opening stages of the tournament and will be at it until just before midnight for Day 1A at the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) here. 

Heading into the halfway mark of Day 1A, the CTP Club is close to getting full

The structure indicates that each round consists of 30 minute levels and still utilizes the slow rise in Blinds that is the trademark of the APT.

The starting stack is 25,000 and the Blinds begin at 100/100 with a mandatory 10 minute break at the halfway mark, at the end of Level 5. 

Combatants will be playing Day 1 until the end of Level 10 and registration will remain open until then. Those who survive advance to Day 2 where entries will no longer be accepted. The buy-in is NT$5,000.00 (US$157.00). Unlimited entries are allowed until the end of Day 1. 

The APT Taichung Championship has a guaranteed prize pool of NT$1M (US$31,501.00) and will be the only event played here before the competition continues at the CTP Club Taipei starting Tuesday (27th September) where the rest of the 21 events are slated to be contested. 

Day 1B and 1C will played out in two separate flights tomorrow (24th September).
