Can locals continue dominating in APT 2022 Philippines

PASAY CITY, Philippines – Entering the fourth day of competition in the ongoing Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 Philippines, only one trophy had slipped passed the grasp of the local contingent as so far four of the five crowns contested have gone the way of the Philippines at the Grand Wing Casino, Newport World Resorts here.

With the exception of the opening salvo, the Mystery Bounty event–won by Korean newbie Son Jangwon (the Philippines’ Edgar Asehan finished second)–the host nation has captured all of the titles at stake: Royly “Chipblaze” Oracion in the Professional Offline Poker League (POPL) Head-Hunters, Lester Edoc in the VIP High Rollers, Don “Pusang Gala” Carmona in the Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) event and Flo Campomanes in the first of the three Single-Day High-Rollers.

Today (September 9th), the action has already resumed with (Event #6) the Super Deep Stack Turbo (S-DST), the second of the three PhP65,000.00 (US$1,143.00) Single-Day High-Rollers and, of course, Day 1B of the Main Event.

With two more championships in the offing today, can the Filipinos continue their wicked run?
