Big turnout expected in Main Event Day 1C, 3 more side event trophies at stake today

PASAY CITY, Philippines – With 299 entries already in the books, Day 1C of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 Philippines Main Event is expected to draw its biggest attendance yet and could have the current guaranteed prize pool of PhP15M (US$262,206) surpassed by mid session even as three more titles are up for grabs as the weekend grind climaxes here at the Grand Wing Casino, Newport World Resorts here.

Cards are in the air for Day 1C at 1:00PM (UCT+8) and competitors will play until the end of Level 8 (Blinds at 300/600 with 600 BB Ante) with registration open all throughout the session. Registration will remain open until the end of the break at the conclusion of Level 10 (Blinds at 500/1,000 with 1,000 BB Ante) on Day 2

A total of 88 players have already advanced to Day 2 led by chip-leader Kevin Bortfeld of the United States with a total of 207,800 in chips followed by  Professional Offline Poker League (POPL) Head-Hunter titlist Dzmitry Budai of Belarus with 179,900. Third place is currently occupied by Filipino hopeful Christopher Mateo with 146,400

Meanwhile, (Event #13) the Single-Day No Limit Hold’Em (NLH), (Event #14) the much-anticipated Deep Stack Turbo (DST) and (Event #15) yet another H-DST at 10:00PM highlight today’s hostilities with all three champions feted at the end of their respective tiffs.
