In 2018, the APT was the first international brand to host an event in this vibrant city. Since then, a total of six festivals have been staged with the richest grand prize pool exceeding VN₫ 40 Billion.
Over the next ten days, running from today August 8 to August 17, players can expect another action-packed series featuring crowd favorites, top notch structures, 21 trophy events, and a whopping VN₫ 7 Billion in guarantees. Buy ins range from VN₫ 6,600,000 to VN₫ 108,000,000. All this takes place at partner venue, Saigon Poker Club, located on the 1st Floor of Terra Royal Trade Center – 28 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Vo Thi Sau Ward in District 3.

Guaranteed Events
Two events that must be on everyone’s agenda are the series opener NLH Warm Up and the series headliner Main Event. These are the only events advertising a guarantee. Let’s take a closer look at these events.
NLH Warm Up – VN₫ 1 Billion guarantee
Kicking off today is the VN₫ 1 Billion guaranteed NLH Warm Up. Players have two flights to try and advance to the Final Day. Flight A gets underway at 1pm with registration closing at the start of Level 13, exactly 7:35pm. Flight B follows at 5pm with registration closing at 11:35pm. Both flights bag up at the end of Level 15. Buy in is VN₫ 7,700,000.
Starting stack: 25,000
Opening blinds: 50 – 100
Level duration: 30 minutes
Advancing players return on Tuesday, August 9 at 1pm where they will race to the money and to the first trophy of the series. The champion will also take the helm in the APT Player of the Series leaderboard. More on that race at the bottom of the page.
Main Event – VN₫ 6 Billion guarantee
The APT Main Event is considerably the best structured tournament in the region. It has a deep stack format with blinds increasing at a slow 60 minute pace. The event comes with a huge VN₫ 6 Billion (~US$ 256,520) guarantee, which is the second highest Main Event guarantee advertised by the brand this year. If the past festivals are an indication of what lies ahead, then expect this figure to be easily crushed. The Main Event runs from August 11 to August 16. To have a chance at this lucrative pot are three starting days. Buy in is VN₫ 22,000,000 (~US$ 940).

Level 1 blinds: 50 – 100 – 100 (Ante BB)

For even greater value, players that enter Day 1A will be treated to an Early Bird Special, which is a sweet discount of VN₫ 1 Million. Another fantastic promo is the Bubble Protection. This applies to all of the starting days. Players that have their chips in play on the first deal of Level 1 qualify for this promo. In the event that a protected player bubbles to the money at the Main Event, as consolation, that player will receive his/her buy in back in the form of APT tournament credits.
As mentioned earlier, the Main Event has one of the best structures in the region. To further emphasize this, registration is open all day and players can sign up as late as Day 2. This gives everyone plenty of chances at winning this prestigious title. Registration closes at the start of Level 11. For players that sign up at the very last second, they still have a very playable 20 BB stack.
For players looking to enter the Main Event at a more affordable price, they can give the satellites a go. There are five Main Event Satellites scheduled with buy ins of VN₫ 2,200,000 (1 in ten win a seat) and VN₫ 4,400,000 (1 in 5 win a seat).
Other events and High Rollers
The rest of the roster is loaded with crowd favorites to indulge in. There are No Limit Hold’em events of varying structures, Turbos, and book-ending the series is a Monster Stack event which offers two entry flights. For Pot Limit Omaha and Short Deck enthusiasts, one event each is scheduled.
For players with big bankrolls, there are several choices. Packing the biggest punch is the Super High Rollers which runs from August 9 to 10. Buy in is VN₫ 108,000,000. This event has been increasing in popularity. At the previous SHR event of this price tag, 27 entered with the winner locking up over VN₫ 1.1 Billion. On the cheaper side, there are four High Rollers Single Day events scheduled with buy ins of VN₫ 32,500,000 and VN₫ 43,000,000. The two-day High Rollers is another book-ender with buy in of VN₫ 53,500,000.
APT Player of the Series
All of the events (except satellites) earn players points towards the APT Player of the Series race. This is one of the most sought after titles at every APT event. At the end of the series, the top three players in points win special prizes. First place wins a unique trophy, an exclusive watch, and US$ 800. For 2nd and 3rd, they each win a trophy and US$ 100. At the previous festival, Filipino player Vamerdino Magsakay won it for the second time. He became the third player to achieve this.
