APT Vietnam 2019 Final wrap! Vincent Chauve wins Player of the Series; highlights and last side winners

After twelve days of APT Vietnam 2019 that ran from November 6 to 17 at host venue Pro Poker Club, the awards table was wiped out and 24 players walked away as series champions. Congratulations to all the winners! 

The biggest winners were Akshay Nasa for topping a Main Event field of 436 entries; Vincent Chauve at the Championships Event, besting a field of 179 entries. Chauve also finished 2nd at the Main Event making him the overall wealthiest player of the series. At the side games, Joakim Andersson and Vincent Li both won two High Rollers events.

The Asian Poker Tour sends its gratitude to everyone that attended and to all the staff that helped us run the event. The series attracted 490 unique players representing 40 nations. It paid out a grand total VND 31,632,240,000 (~USD 1,359,660). As always, both featured events exceeded their advertised guarantees.

APT Vietnam 2019 Player of the Series 

At every APT series, we close out the series with a special award – the distinguished APT Player of the Series title. No question about it, with Vincent Chauve winning the Championships Event and finishing 2nd at the Main Event, he earned 1,065.83 points to bag it. Chauve was awarded the APT POS Trophy, APT POS Ring, exclusive watch, and USD 800.

Korea’s Jeonggyu Cho accumulated 885.70 points to take 2nd place in the POS race. Cho cashed in four events which included a victory at the No Limit Hold’em Single Day event. He was awarded the 2nd place POS trophy and USD 100. 

And in 3rd place with 803.23 points was Main Event winner India’s Akshay Nasa who also finished in 2nd place at the High Rollers event. Nasa was awarded the 3rd place POS trophy and USD 100.

Vincent Li closes out the series with a second High Rollers win

Hong Kong player Vincent Li was a force to reckon with at the High Rollers tables. He cashed in four of those events while claiming victory in two. He joined Joakim Andersson as the only players with two wins. Li’s second title was at the event closer High Rollers Single Day. He topped the 32 entries defeating Oliver Helm at heads up.
