The Asian Poker Tour (APT) and the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Club (CTP) are set to run multiple live events in the upcoming APT Taiwan 2021.
Two weeks before the series, updates have been made to cater to the local market due to travel restrictions still in place. Guarantees and buy-ins for all events taking place in Taipei have changed. Buy in for the Main Event is now NT$ 16,500 and NT$ 25,300 for the Championships Event. Both guarantees NT$ 2 Million prize pool. The 500K Guaranteed Mini Main Event and Special Event taking place in CTP Taichung will run as scheduled.
The Main Event, Mini Main and Championships Event winners will receive a trophy and a ring. Champions of 18 other events including the Special Event will also receive an APT trophy.
The event will also award the APT Player of the Series. The series leaderboard topper will receive the coveted Player of the Series trophy, POS ring, a luxury watch and US$ 800 cash. The first and second runner-ups behind the Player of the Series will both receive a trophy and US$ 100 cash prize.
“APT is also one of my favorite international tournaments. We are very happy and honored to have APT Taiwan but unfortunately, there are still travel restrictions and lag of foreign players due to the COVID situation. Hopefully, the restriction can be open sooner in the future so we can have foreign players as well,” said CTP CEO David Tai.
