APT Reaches Out to Japan

Manila, Philippines – March 22, 2011 – Given the recent events in Japan, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) has decided to add a special Charity tournament to its already packed 2011 APT Philippines Event Schedule.

The APT Charity Event will be held on March 29th at 5pm. It will feature a buy in of US$ 100 and an Add On of US$ 20. Twenty-percent of the prize pool together with all the Add Ons collected will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Support from the Japanese poker community has always been an integral part of the event’s success in building the APT as one of the biggest tournaments in Asia. In this respect, the APT is now keen to do its part in helping out.

Furthermore, one of the Japanese players representing the Tokyo Poker Tour, playing in the APT Main Event, has pledged to do his best and donate his winnings to his homeland’s relief efforts.

The APT expects a good player turnout for this event as poker players will use their skill in helping out in the best way they know how – on the felt!

The Asian Poker Tour Philippines will be held at the Resorts World Manila from March 28 to April 3, 2011. For the complete event schedule, CLICK HERE
