The Asian Poker Tour is back in the “Vegas of China” for our third big festival of the year, the APT Macau Championships 2018!.This event promises to be full of fun and action with players from all over the region including more than 100 Japanese players coming in to participate.
As always, the festivities take place at partner and host venue Macau Billionaire Poker which is located inside the Babylon Casino. The festival begins today, April 25 and will run through May 6.
Throughout the course of the 12 days, players can expect to see their most beloved APT games on the roster with 18 customized side events offered. Games to expect are the Head Hunter, NLH One Day events, No Limit Hold’em tournaments, Monster Stack, Turbo events, and of course the most costly of the bunch, the High Rollers. Side event buy-ins range from HKD 1,200 – HKD 43,000.
While the side events do produce big fields and a slew of happy winners, the games that will have everyone filing to the tables are the two featured tournaments, the APT Main Event with its very enticing HKD 2 Million guarantee and the highly revered APT Championships Event. These prestigious tournaments lie back-to-back from April 28 – May 6 with each running a course of five days, broken down as: Day 1A, Day 1B, Day 2, Day 3, and the Final 8.
At the start of the year, we extended late registration for our featured tournaments. Players can now sign up / re-enter until just before the start of Level 10 in Day 2.
Main Event: April 28 – May 2, buy-in is HKD 11,000
Championships Event: May 2 – 6, buy-in is HKD 22,000
For players looking to enter these majors at a fraction of the price, we will have four (4) satellites running leading up to each of these events.

TODAY’S EVENTS
With our featured events still to come, we suggest to get some early practice by jumping on the felt today. Opening day comes out swinging with four events right off the bat.
13:00: Event #1 – NLH Welcome Event
The NLH Welcome Event is the festival opener. Buy-in is HKD 3,300. Players begin with a 10,000 starting stack, opening blinds at 25-50 with increases every 30 minutes. Whoever wins this event will have earned the bragging rights as the first festival champion.
15:00: Special Event – Super High Rollers
The APT offers up the highest buy-in tournament of the festival, the Super High Rollers event. This Special Event has been a mainstay in the APT roster since 2016. While SHR events tend to attract an elite group of top notch players and businessmen, anyone and everyone is welcome to join in so long as they pony up the HKD 200,000 entry.
16:00: Event #2 – Ante Up for Charity
During the cool hours of the afternoon, the Ante Up for Charity gets underway. Play poker for a great cause, play for the mission of the Holy House of Mercy. For every generous HKD 1500 buy-in, a third will be donated to the organization.
The Holy House of Mercy charity organization offers a wide range of social welfare services, among them include assisting the elderly, rehabilitation centers for the blind, creating refuges for the homeless, providing education to orphaned children, and much more. We encourage everyone to join and support the ongoing efforts of this charitable organization.
18:00: Satellite 1 – Main Event
The first of four satellites to the Main Event takes off tonight. Buy-in is HKD 1,200. One player per ten will be awarded a seat.
