The game is No Limit Texas Hold’em, the structure is deep, and the blinds increase very slowly. Welcome to the APT Main Event, the most prestigious event of the Asian Poker Tour offered at every stop in their calendar year.
Through the years, the APT Main Event has been revered as the tournament with the best structure in the entire Asian circuit. From Tuesday, August 15th– Saturday, August 19th, this highlight event will take center stage in Paradise City. Buy-in is KRW 1,100,000 with two starting days of registration. The APT Championship Ring
Last year, the APT added a couple of great incentives to spice up the game and give players more to look forward to. So in addition to the cash reward and APT championship trophy received by the eventual winner, the APT has added a gorgeous APT Championship Ring to the loot. This special band is of solid silver and it is crested with the APT insignia. It is exclusively for APT Main Event winners. Malaysia’s Aik Chuan is the only player to have captured two of these rings, having recently won the APT Main Event in an impressive back-to-back fashion.
With the APT brand continuously expanding, holding annual events in various destinations all over Asia, this will be the first APT championship ring awarded in Incheon, one that the eventual winner can certainly brag about for years to come.
Main Event Bubble Protection
Another incentive added last year was the Main Event Bubble Protection. For those unfamiliar with the Bubble Protection, this is basically an insurance policy, a feel good incentive when you are down and out in the bubble at the Main Event. Instead of walking away empty-handed, the insured bubble player will receive a consolation prize of one free seat to the next APT Main Event of the same value or the equivalent in APT tournament credits.
In order to qualify for the bubble protection, just follow these three simple steps:
Step 1: Pre-register
Step 2: Draw for your seat before starting time
Step 3: Have your chips put into play on the first deal of round number 1
*Important note: Players that qualify for Bubble Protection will maintain the status on a same day re-entry; players wanting Bubble Protection on a next day re-entry will have to go back and repeat the steps.
