HomeGood morning players! Welcome to opening day of the APT Korea Championships 2018! For the past months, we’ve looked forward to this moment for a few exciting reasons.
First, we are back at the elegant and luxurious Paradise City casino resort in Incheon. Having opened just last year, the facility is all about class, offering nothing less than high quality services and amenities. An added perk, the venue is located within the business complex of the world-renowned Incheon International Airport making it easily accessible to all traveling players.
Second, this is the first time the APT brings its championships series to Korea. Players can expect twelve days of nonstop poker festivities starting today, August 8 until August 19. Two major tournaments are highlighted, Main Event and Championships Event. These events run back-to-back beginning Friday, August 10. Side events of course will be abundant with single day events to two-day events on the list. We have all those details for you below.
The third big reason for our excitement is the Ante Big Blind format. This festival marks the official start of the APT switching to the Ante BB format for all events in the future. The Ante BB is the latest innovation in the game and is now being utilized worldwide.
For players new to the format, the Ante BB does away with each player posting an ante at every turn and replaced with only the big blind player responsible for posting the ante. The Ante BB is equivalent to one big blind, which means, regardless of the number of players at the table, the big blind player posts a total of two big blinds on his/her turn.

Opening Day Events
Boost that bankroll, be the first at the top of the APT Player of the Series race, or perhaps win your seat to the Main Event. Come on out and get an early start!
13:00: NLH Welcome Event – buyin KRW 330,000
15:00: CoinPoker Super High Rollers (special event) – buyin KRW 16,000,000 – this is a scheduled two-day event
17:00: Main Event Satellite – buyin KRW 120,000 – one seat awarded per ten players
