APT 25: PLO Highroller 30L GTD – ASHISH NAILWAL “Notoriouskonvict” – IN₹ 6.86L (~US$ 8,690)

The day’s featured Pot Limit Omaha Highroller 30L GTD saw 391 pony up the IN₹ 11,000 (~US$ 140) buy in to build a richer IN₹ 39.1 Lac (~US$ 48,520) prize pool. Just under nine hours of play, Ashish Nailwal “Notoriouskonvict” shipped it, defeating Ranjeet Negi “Rj147” at heads up. Due to an ICM deal, Negi earned the largest payout while Nailwal walked away with both the title and APT Trophy. This was Nailwal’s career second APT India Online trophy with a first win at the inaugural series Kickoff Event in January 2021.

Brief rundown of the final table action, Negi led in the final six players and proceeded to widen the gap by eliminating “Phantom01” (5th) with a full house over two pair. Ram Kakkar “mowgumotu” climbed to second rank after delivering a crushing blow to Vikranth Varma “borntrouble” in 4th place with a straight over pocket Jacks set. Kakkar’s rise in chips was short-lived though with Nailwal shaving it down to nearly catch up to the leader. Down to just 3 BB, Kakkar’s struggle ended and the final two players quickly reached an ICM deal. With more chips behind, Negi was given the larger payout.

Play went on for rank and for the APT trophy. Both players were still deep with average at 36 BB. Twelve minutes after the deal, Nailwal closed it out with a straight beating two pair (hand below).
