APT and Geutebruck Sign Another Two Year Agreement for Events in Incheon and Seoul

The Asian Poker Tour is pleased to announce another two-year agreement has been forged with Geutebruck Korea Inc., the company that operates the poker rooms at Paradise City Casino in Incheon and Paradise Casino Walkerhill in Seoul.

APT General Manager and Executive Tournament Director, Lloyd Fontillas, and Geutebruck Director, Dom Choi

Fontillas expressed, “Dom and I have put together our thoughts to create something very special for 2020! Until then we will be keeping it a surprise!”

For the past two years, the partnership has had tremendous success producing international caliber poker events in both Incheon and Seoul. Despite the law prohibiting Koreans to enter casinos, the events have only gained in popularity.

The inaugural APT Korea Incheon in 2017 attracted over 1200 entries and generated an overall prize pool of USD 550,000. The following year the festival grew from nine days to a twelve-day run. In turn, the numbers increased to 1625 entries and a grand prize pool of USD 800,000. The year would also see the first APT Korea Seoul take place with 1000 entries and USD 415,000 in prizes. Two months ago, in early June, the APT returned to Seoul and this time the field was much bigger to easily double up the previous year’s grand prize pool to USD 906,000.

Paradise City Casino in Incheon is the largest and most luxurious casino in Korea and is also the first integrated resort complex in the country. Paradise Casino Walkerhill is located in Seoul and is the capital city’s premier poker destination.

The third edition of APT Korea Incheon is currently underway at Paradise City Casino. The series guarantees USD 329,000 in prizes. Two featured tournaments are offered – USD 1,100 buy-in Main Event and USD 1,650 buy-in Championships Event – plus 22 of the most popular APT games running alongside.
