A solid opening day at APT Taiwan 2019; Dream Maker and Super High Rollers close with Final 8

Opening day at the inaugural APT Taiwan 2019 was a smash with two events rousing up the CTP Club (Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association).

The Dream Maker event kicked off the festival followed by the Super High Rollers a couple of hours later. Both were two-day events. Listed below are the day’s results, the prize pool, and the expected payouts.

Dream Maker

The Dream Maker event is a new one in the APT roster. The idea was proposed by CTP President, Hsing “David” Tai. The concept is to have a very affordable buy-in – TWD 8,800 – that would award a handful of players a generous payout, ultimately fueling the winners throughout the whole series.

The event attracted 118 entrants with only the last 8 players advancing to the final day. The players will be looking at a TWD 915,700 prize pool however only 6 of them will cash. Dream Maker event resumes at 1pm local time on Thursday, February 21.
