123 entries swarm Mystery Bounty Flight A, Flight B still open; prize pool now over PhP3.9M

PASAY CITY, Philippines – In what is thus far an indication of things to come, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 Philippines (Event #1) Mystery Bounty has, as of this writing, has nearly 300 entries to smash the original guaranteed prize pool of PhP2M (US$34,915) to now come close to being doubled as action rages on at the Grand Wing Casino, Newport World Resorts here.

Flight A’s registration closed with 123 total entries while at the current break at the end of Level 8 (incoming Blinds at 300/600 with 600 BB Ante), Flight B has a total of 148 with still entrants lining up at the registration area. At the moment, the prize pool stands at PhP3,943,050 (US$68,932) with Flight A still active while Flight B’s registration is still open.

Many iconic players have been seen at the opener today including the Philippines’ lone WSOP Bracelet holder Mike Takayama, APT Manila 2019 Main Event titlist Christopher Mateo and reigning APT Philippines Player of the Series (POS) Dave “Spade” Erquiaga while the foreign charge is led by Norwegian Kai Danilo Paulsen–who is in search of his 19th APT title, 2-time APT champion Robert Kiss of the United States and Malaysia’s William Teoh, who copped a runner-up finish in the recent APT Philippines Championships event.

Both flights end hostilities at the end of Level 15 and will resume for the finale tomorrow (November 16th) at 1:00PM (UCT+8).

It will be during that time that those who make it to the finale battle to attain ITM and clash for bounties that wil only be revealed during a draw after each elimination to unveil the amount won from the garnered bust-out. 

In the meantime, the tables are being set for the high-speed wars in (Event #2) the Hyper Deep Stack Turbo which happens at 10:00PM. The buy-in is PhP8,000 (US$140).
