Widjaya Wins Charity Event and Adds to the Donation!

Thirty-nine players participated in the APT Asian Series Cebu Charity Event last night at the All In Poker Club in the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel. The prize pool reached PHP 156,000 with PHP 39,000 going to the Cebu Parks and Playground Foundation Inc.

Notable players in the field were Waki Yasuhiro, Sparrow Cheung, Ben Abrahams, Micheal de Leon and Yu Kurita.

Anton Widjaya pledged Php 20,000 of his winnings in the APT Asian Series Cebu Charity Event

The feel-good story of the evening was when Indonesian Anton Widjaya pledged a percentage of his winnings after placing in the money.

And as karma would have it, Widjaya reached the heads-up battle against Waki Yasuhiro of Japan and the former eventually grabbed the Charity event title and added PHP 20,000 to be given to the Cebu Parks and Playground Foundation, Inc.
