Welcome to the Asian Poker Tour Noumea 2016

The Asian Poker Tour has arrived on the beautiful shores of New Caledonia for APT Noumea 2016! The ten-day event kicked off last night with a grand Welcome Party hosted by the official event partner and venue, Casinos De Noumea.

Festivities kicked off with a showcase of both traditional and French influenced performances. As the lights dimmed, the sound of the conch shell signified the beginning of the performers in native costumes along with their indigenous instruments. This was followed up by French inspired productions culminating with a cabaret themed closing number.

“APT Noumea 2016 is an example of the Asian Poker Tour’s goal of bringing the world-class APT brand of poker to new and exciting locations around the world,” said APT Executive Tournament Director Lloyd Fontillas.

After the fanfare, it was time to get down to the action with the Welcome to APT Noumea Mega Satellite. At the close of registration, there were 129 entries for 13 seats to the Main Event. Action then continues with the day’s Opening NLH Event with Flight A at 12:30 pm followed by Flight B at 5:00 pm.
