First off, if you didn’t know it already, Vietnam opened to fully vaccinated international tourists on March 15. Quarantine measures have been lifted however a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival is required. Other travel requirements will also be needed so make sure to check for a smooth trip.
With that said, APT Vietnam Phu Quoc 2022 is the first international poker festival to be staged in Phu Quoc. The island is situated in the Gulf of Thailand, off the western coasts of Vietnam and Cambodia, to the north is Thailand, and just southwest are Malaysia and Singapore. Due to its perfect location, players from all of these countries can easily make the trip via a quick plane ride to Phu Quoc International Airport. From there, it is a 45 minute drive to the venue. Good news for Vietnamese players, Corona Casino Phu Quoc is the only casino in the country that accepts eligible Vietnamese to gamble alongside foreign tourists so pack your bags and head on over.
For first timers, Phu Quoc island is a fast growing holiday destination. From beaches, diving, trekking, seafood tripping, to cafes, amusement parks, and night markets, adventurers have plenty to explore outside of the poker room. It features a VN₫ 1 Billion guarantee (~US$ 43,750), buy in is VN₫ 7.7 Million (~US$ 337). There are two flights to enter; Flight A starts at 12pm and Flight B is at 4pm. To ensure a chance for late entry warriors, Flight B registration closes tonight at 10:35pm.

The gaming space features a VIP area and the private Sky Casino on the 8th floor of the five-star resort. Opened in January 2019, the Corona Resort & Casino’s over 200,000 sq ft of gaming space features some 1,000 electronic gaming machines. The mass floor has 30 tables while the main floor has a 125-seat multi-game stadium, with a 16 meter by 4-meter screen comprised of 12 component screens that can show separate items or a single program. The hall can be set up with 50 poker tables for big tournaments. The poker room can accommodate up to 17 tables. Unfortunately cash games are no longer available.
