TAIPEI CITY, Taiwan – The final day of competition in the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taiwan 2022 will be handing out five titles as one of yesterday’s scheduled events was moved to today (5th October), in what promises to be a grand closing here at the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club).
The scheduled event moved was (Event #17) the NT$43k (US$1,366.00) 2-day High-Rollers as most of those who were slated to play jumped into (Event #18) the Monster Stack, hence the tournament staff transferred that tiff to today but just as a single-day affair.
The scheduled activities today are (Event #19) the Deep Stack Hyper Turbo and (Event #20) the fourth NT$27k (US$850.00) single-day High-Rollers along with the finale of the Monster Stack wherein 41 players are targeting the top prize of NT$253,000.00 (US$7,992.00).
The remaining 41 players (from a massive field of 150) will first need to play down to 25 to hit ITM.
Cards fly at 1:00PM (UCT+8).
The APT has not had five trophies on the line in a single competition day in recent memory and this development is the cherry on top of the proverbial sundae to what has been a remarkable staging in this country where the poker population has come in droves to support the series by churning out incredible attendance numbers and the renaissance can be attributed to the amazing surge of the game across the region, with the APT as the game-changing conduit.
