Now that you are waiting for the Tournament Director to announce “shuffle up and deal”, now is the time to also get yourself familiar with the location of the tournament clock/s you will be playing by. During the hectic day, the APT can usually have up to four events scheduled, which can also overlap so there are multiple tournament clocks around the room.
The tournament clock is one of you most useful tools within any tournament you play. The APT’s tournament clock will tell you how much time is left before the start of a tournament, the duration of the current playing round and also how many players have entered. It also includes the number still left in the tournament, the time of the next break, the next blind level, the amount of chips in play, the average chip stack of those still in the field and at the close of registration how many players will get paid along with the payouts of the event.
Go deep and stay tuned for APT’s next weekly tip!
