After two days of opening side event action, the first featured tournament of APT Korea Incheon 2019 took center stage at Paradise City Casino. The floor quickly lit up as players piled in to take part in the KRW 200,000,000 guaranteed MAIN EVENT. By the end of the scheduled 8 rounds running 60 minutes each, 71 signed on with 40 bagging chips.
Among the players in the mix were a few APT major champions, China’s Chen Dong, and USA’s Albert Paik and Jaepil Geoffrey You. All three advanced to Day 2 however their stacks were relatively short compared to Japan’s Tatsuya Hirose who closed the day with 101,900. Hirose sets the pace for the incoming Day 1B heat.

Main Event Day 1B is up next taking place on Monday, August 5 starting at 1pm. If you are just hearing the news, the event comes with a KRW 200,000,000 guarantee. Buy-in is KRW 1,320,000. Roman Ro wins the High Rollers Single Day 1
The High Rollers Single Day 1 event drew 21 entries at KRW 2,150,000 each for a prize pool worth KRW 40,740,000. Only four players were paid with Russia’s Roman Ro awarded the largest cut of KRW 19,928,000 for his victory. This was Ro’s second cash of the series with a deep 6th place finish at the Dafabet Head Hunter event earlier in the day.

The other trophy winner of the day was New Caledonia’s Joseph Cona who shipped the Pot Limit Omaha Hi 1 tournament. Cona topped a field of 23 runners that each pitched in the KRW 330,000 for a prize pool amounting KRW 6,693,000. He pocketed the KRW 3,274,000 first place purse.
