Leading up to the final table of nine players, Kuang Hung Lee stacked it in after cracking a player’s pocket aces. On a board 4♠ 10♥ A♣ Q♣, Lee called a player’s check-shove. Lee had K♦ J♠ straight against A♦ A♥, the river 2♥ saw no improvement for the aces awarding Lee the pot for the chip lead. The final table was formed and it was bubble time with only 8 guaranteed to profit.
It didn’t take long for the bubble to burst. On a flop J♦ 10♦ 8♦ and a raised pot built preflop, Lee check-raised all in, his opponent tanked then called with A♦ Q♣. Lee had 9♥ 9♣. The turn 2♣ and river 7♣ failed to produce the numerous outs needed to overtake. The bubble round was over and Lee had a massive stack before him.
Money at hand, Chih Ying Liang Q♦ Q♥ railed Su Wei Yu A♦ A♣ when a queen graced the board. Liang proceeded to lose chips to Kuo Chen Hung paying out a double up. Lee shipped in more ammo by outdrawing Pete Yen Han Chen with A♥ 10♥ finding an ace on the turn to burn pocket queens. Gaining momentum was Tai Hsing Hsiung eliminating Anthony Hope (6th place) and Po Cheng Yang (5th place). Lee claimed all of Liang’s chips and it was down to three players.
The three-handed round took some time to crack. Tai won a majority of the pots to overtake Lee for the chip lead. Tai eliminated Hung with K♠ 3♦ flush over K♣ 9♥ on a board 6♦ 3♥ 9♦ A♦ 5♦. Heads up followed with Tai ahead in the count.
Tai began to pull away then out-kicked Lee to drag in a sizable pot. With blinds at 4k-8k ante 8k, the hand opened with Lee limp-calling Tai’s 24k raise. At the flop 8♣ 5♥ 9♦, Tai bet 25k, Lee called. On the turn 8♠, Tai check-called a 43k bet. On the river 2♥, Tai slid out 35k, Lee called. Tai showed K♠ 9♥, Lee mucked while showing only one card 9♠. The next hand was the last. Tai with 5♣ 5♠, Lee A♣ J♥, the board was 7♥ 8♠ 4♠ 3♠ 3♣.
