The race to victory was recorded and uploaded on APT Twitch and APT YouTube. As for our recap, we pick it up just before the bubble round. APT decorated champion Zhou Yueyang went on a rush to go from short stack to chip leader. The crucial hand was a three-way showdown; chip leader Xiaosheng Zheng had 9-9, Zhou 10-10, and Minh Le J-10. Zhou improved to a set to eliminate Minh and bring about the bubble stage.
A few hands went by, Zhou three-bet shoved A♦ 6♠ and intial raiser Zheng called with A♣ J♦. The board bricked and just like that, Zheng regained the lead while Zhou plummeted. Shortly after, the bubble was delivered with Duc Bien A♦ A♣ fully dominating Zhou’s A♠ 7♣.
At heads up, Zheng and Duc Bien struck an ICM deal setting VND 23,280,000 aside for the eventual winner. Zheng had the advantage but it quickly switched when Duc Bien doubled up. His J♣ J♠ turned quads 9♦ J♦ 8♣ J♥ Q♠ to crush Zheng’s A♣ 10♣ straight. Zheng fought back and earned a back-to-back double up but still had to settle for runner-up.
The last hand saw Zheng limp in from the button, Duc Bien checked. The flop came 7♠ 8♠ A♦, Duc Bien check-called a small bet. On the turn 7♦, Duc Bien checked, Zheng shoved, Duc Bien tanked then called. Zheng 5♦ 4♦ draw, Duc Bien 8♣ 6♣ two pair, the river 5♠ sealed the win for Duc Bien.

The money was reached when Hyeon’s J-J knocked out a player with A-10. It was all in preflop. Hyeon further improved to a full house. Sitting healthy was Chin Xian Ming with the chip lead. Ming added more to his big pile by railing four players of the final 7.
Heads up came with Ming commanding by stack size but not by performance. Instead it was Hyeon gaining ground. Hyeon successfully grinded for chips, exposed a bluff by Ming, then doubled up with A♣ 5♦ over K♣ Q♥. With stacks fairly close, a deal was then struck, 5% was set aside and the trophy.
Hyeon took the lead by calling out yet another bluff by Ming. On a board 3♣ 6♣ 4♦ 10♣ 10♠, Ming hard bet every stage with J♦ 8♣. It resulted in a double up for Hyeon who called with Q♥ 6♥ two pair. The crippled Ming couldn’t recover and risked it all on 10♥ 8♥. It stayed behind Hyeon’s Q♦ J♥. Though not needed, a queen showed up on the turn. Hyeon emerged victorious.
