Van Ngoc Binh ships the High Rollers event
The two day High Rollers event attracted a big field of 89 entries and at VND 53,750,000 a piece, a juicy prize pool was produced VND 4,316,500,000 (~USD 186,500) divvied up among the top 15 players.
Among those who cashed were Iori Yogo, Edward Yam, Dinh Xuan Dinh, and Dhaval Mudgal. Battling it out for the top prize were two locals, Le Ngoc Khanh and Van Ngoc Binh. Despite Khanh able to catch up with his short stack, Binh still denied him.
The winning hand Binh held 2♥ 5♥, Khanh A♥ 2♠, the board 7♦ 6♥ 9♥ K♦ 8♠. Binh pocketed VND 1,153,551,000 (~USD 50,000).

Nadav Cohen wins the Short Deck High Rollers Single Day
The Short Deck High Rollers Single Day wasn’t a very popular one with only 11 ponying up the VND 43,000,000 buy-in. Two players shared the VND 426,800,000 prize pool with Nadav Cohen claiming the larger for his victory. Cohen shipped VND 298,760,000 and Jinhyo Yoo came in second for VND 128,040,00.
Luen Hei Kwok bags the Short Deck (Shot clock)
The first Short Deck event attracted 46 players with 11 re-entering for 57 total entries. With each buy-in at VND 9,900,000, the prize pool amounted to VND 497,610,000 (USD 21,400). Ten places paid. The event ran for two days. Shipping in the lion’s share was Hong Kong’s Luen Hei Kwok. He claimed his first-ever APT title and VND 147,317,000.
Seo Dong Kyoon wins the Short Deck Single Day
The Short Deck Single Day breezed by pretty quick with 71 runners burning up the felt. Impressively, Michael Kim Falcon built up a huge stack that didn’t get toppled until it was the final three players. He finished 3rd which was impressive given that it is his first attempt at Short Deck. Winning the event was Seo Dong Kyoon dominating Nguyen Viet Long to easily claim the victory.
A total of 11 players earned a piece of the VND 482,090,000 prize pool. Champion Kyoon struck a deal at heads up earning him a cool VND 120,000,000. Runner-up Long earned VND 107,168,000. As for Falcon, he pocketed VND 63,169,000 and additional points to maintain one of the top spots in the APT Player of the Series race.
