Event #16: MegaSportsWorld Deep Stack Turbo – Ferlyn Cabaling – PHP 233,000 (USD 4,400)
The MegaSportsWorld Deep Stack Turbo was the hottest ticket friday night as players piled in with their PHP 5,500 (~USD 110) buy-in for a piece of the PHP 750K guaranteed pot. Once all the alternates were accommodated, the tally was 226 strong to drive the prize pool to a seven-figure PHP 1,096,100 (~USD 21,000). Rising above the competition was Filipino player Ferlyn Cabaling for a PHP 233,000 payday. This was Cabaling’s seventh career APT trophy, largest live score, and her first non-ladies title. 38 players got paid at this event.

Event #15: No Limit Hold’em 2 – Lee Wang Yong – PHP 461,200 (~USD 8,800)
The two-day No Limit Hold’em 2 event was one of the bigger buy-in side events (apart from the high rollers). It brought in 89 entries at PHP 22,000 (~USD 420) each for a solid prize pool of PHP 1,726,600 (~USD 33,000). Only 15 players sliced off a respective share with the largest of PHP 461,200 claimed by Korea’s Lee Wang Yong after defeating Edgar Eui Kim at heads up.

On a local-dominated final 8 table, countryman Renato Villanueva shipped the WeLoveSport Deep Stack Hyper Turbo for a pocketful PHP 146,300. He overcame a field of 123 entries and the hot-running Richard Nakila at heads up. This is Villanueva’s second-ever APT title having won his first on back in January 2016. 21 players took a share of the PHP 596,500 (~USD 11,400) prize pool. Buy-in was PHP 5,500 (~USD 110).

Event #13: Super Deep Stack Turbo – Seiji Morimoto – PHP 385,500 (~USD 7,400)
Dragging 104 runners to the felt on the afternoon of Thursday, September 19th was the Super Deep Stack Turbo. This was the first fast-paced event offered at the festival. With the Players Party happening in the evening, it was a head-slashing tournament that concluded with Japan’s Seiji Morimoto lifting his first-ever APT cash and APT title. He earned PHP 385,500. The top 18 players got paid.

This was Kalaquian’s second-ever APT side event title.
