HomeFor the second time this year, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) will be in Cebu for another APT Asian Poker Series set from August 11 to 19, 2015 at the All In Poker Club located at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino Lahug in Cebu, Philippines.
The poker festivities in the Queen City of the South open Tuesday (August 11) with one side event on tap; the PHP 1M Guaranteed Opening Event with PHP 7,700 buy-in and will feature two start times, Flight A at 1:00 PM and Flight B at 6:00 PM.
The first side event is just one of the many on schedule in the nine-day poker fiesta with 16 more side events on tap until next Wednesday, not to mention the daily satellites to the APT Asian Poker Series Main Event, which has a buy-in of PHP 50,000.
The highlight tourney of the festivities this week has two starting days; Day 1A and Day 1B on Friday and Saturday, respectively, with start time of 1:00 PM.
The other popular side events like the Head Hunter, Ante Up for Charity, Monster Stack, Deep Stacks and Ladies of Poker events are scattered across the week. Check full schedule here.
Expected to return and aim for back-to-back main event titles in Cebu is John Tech, who nabbed the first APT Asian Poker Series Cebu title last February. The Filipino pro won over PHP 2.3M for his efforts in that one and even added another PHP 3.77M for a runner-up finish in the APT Philippines last April.
Will Tech continue to dominate the APT felt and make another deep run in this installment of the most prestigious poker event in Asia? Or will a new face introduce himself as the newest APT champion?
