Poker King Club Announces Dates of Next Asian Poker King Tournament

The Poker King Club in Macau has officially announced its next Asian Poker King Tournament, which will once again be an Asian Poker Tour (APT) accredited event.

The poker room has announced that the next event will be taking place on April 22 to 26, 2010. Held once again at the ballroom of the StarWorld Hotel, the event will be upping the ante with a HK $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Buy-in is set at HK $7,500 + HK $500.

The inaugural Asian Poker King Tournament was the first major tournament of the Poker King Club, which is located on the third floor of the StarWorld Casino in Macau.

A total of 174 players signed up to play in the event, exceeding the HK $750,000 guaranteed prize pool and bringing the total prize money to HK $870,000.

The event was won by Korean poker player Il Wong Yoo, who defeated fellow Korean Soo Bum Kim in heads-up play to win the HK $284,200 first prize as well as a Corum Royal Flush Automatic Special Edition 2006 watch.
