Opening day Monster Stack event draws 127 runners; 41 remaining

Opening day of APT Taiwan 2019 was buzzing with action at partner and host venue Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association aka CTP Club. Throughout the day, cards were dealt and chips were shuffled for Day 1 of the Monster Stack 1 event.

At the close of registration, 127 was the tally at TWD 16,500 (~USD 540) buy-in each for a festival opening prize pool worth TWD 1,847,800 (~USD 60,000). The night closed with 41 remaining. They return at 1pm on Thursday, October 10 for the final race to the money (22 places) and the bragging rights first title. The eventual winner will also set the pace in the APT Player of the Series race.

APT Player of the Series 

Once the Monster Stack 1 wraps up, the APT Player of the Series race begins with all players in the money earning points. All festival games (except the Special Event: Super High Rollers) earn players points. At the end of the festival, the top three players receive special prizes. For the ultimate winner, the APT POS Trophy, APT POS Ring, exclusive luxury watch, and USD 800. For 2nd place and 3rd place, each receive an APT POS Tropy and USD 100.
