Miki Kobayashi wins the Dafabet Head Hunter tournament

Japan claimed another APT Korea Incheon 2019 title with Miki Kobayashi clinching it earlier this afternoon. Kobayashi got past a very tough final table to capture her first-ever APT trophy at the Dafabet Head Hunter tournament.

The Dafabet Head Hunter event ran for two days with 74 gunners heating up the action at Paradise City Casino. At KRW 550,000 buy-in each, a cash prize pool of KRW 28,490,000 was created plus a KRW 7,400,000 bounty pool paying out an instant KRW 100,000 for each head delivered. Day one ended with the final 8 players, among them a lone female, Miki Kobayashi.

Interestingly, when the final table was down to half, a four-way deal was struck with Kobayashi as the shortest stacked. Despite the likes of decorated players Raiden Kan and Sim Jae Kyung in her path, she persevered to hold her head high and be crowned the first female event champion of the series. She pocketed KRW 3,000,000 while runner-up Sim Jae Kyung earned the largest cash win of KRW 6,827,000.
