Good morning everyone and welcome to another action packed chip shuffling poker day at the Asian Poker Tour’s ongoing festival at Resorts World Manila!
These past two days were nothing short of stellar with the APT Championships Philippines 2017 seeing a mammoth turnout at the Main Event, a record-breaking 442 total entries from the combined starting flights. This crushed the previous record of 396 entries set back in 2011. With an entry fee of USD 1,100, the prize pool climbed to a mighty USD 428,740. The eventual champion will ship in the lion share of USD 105,530.
Returning to the felt today is a field of 240 players strong with 90 of them coming from Day 1A and 150 from Day 1B. Interestingly, the top ten players in the list all represent different nations, clearly displaying the huge international attendance of the tournament.
