Since we are at the start of a new season, be the first to ship the APT Main Event of 2020! Tour reigning champion is China’s Zhou Yueyang who won it at APT Finale Taiwan 2019. Reigning Vietnam champion is India’s Akshay Nasa.

Dates: January 12 to 17
Starting stack: 25,000
Opening blinds: 50 – 100
Starting time: 1pm
Day 1A: January 12
Day 1B: January 13
Day 1C: January 14
Day 2: January 15
Day 3: January 16
Final 8 Day: January 17
Notes:
- Bubble protection in effect (info below)
- All levels run 60 minutes each
- All starting days play until end of Level 9
- Multiple stacks allowed but only best stack moves forward
- Registration closes at the start of Level 11 in Day 2
- Day 2 plays until the end of Level 17
- Day 3 plays until the final 8 players is reached
- There are four Main Event satellites offered
For Main Event Day 1A attendees only, buy-in is discounted to VND 21,000,000 (~US$ 907). Also an added treat, three freeroll flipouts will be held in Day 1A with US$ 4,000 in cash given away. Freeroll flipout schedule:
Pre-start at 1245pm: US$ 2,000 in cash awarded to the winner
First break at 2pm: US$ 1,000 in cash awarded to the winner
Second break at 410pm: US$ 1,000 in cash awarded to the winner
Bubble Protection
Bubble Protection is one of the best perks for players attending the Main Event. In the event that a “bubble protected player” busts on the bubble, that player will receive his/her buy-in back in the form of APT Tournament credits (valid for one year). Since its inception in 2016, Bubble Protection has saved several players from walking away empty-handed. To be eligible, all you need to do is follow the easy steps below:
- Pre-register
- Draw for your seat before starting time
- Have your chips put into play on the first deal of Level 1
Notes:
- Players that qualify for Bubble Protection will maintain the status only on a same day re-entry
- Players wanting Bubble Protection on a next day re-entry will have to repeat the steps above
- Bubble protection will only be awarded if the event goes hand-for-hand
- Bubble protection will not be awarded to a player that receives a cash prize
