Good morning everyone and welcome to another day of nonstop poker festivities at the APT Macau 2017! We hope these past few days have warmed up those poker skills because the highlight tournament of the series begins today, the APT Main Event!
Starting promptly at 1pm, Day 1A of the APT Main Event gets underway. Buy-in is HKD 19,800. This is the first of two entry days offered. The APT Main Event is the only event where you can win the exclusive solid silver APT Championship Ring. Last year, Guo Dong and SJ Kim were each awarded one of these special bands here in Macau. In addition, the eventual winner will also receive the first place cash and the APT Championship Trophy.
Main Event Bubble Protection
To spice up the action, the APT introduced an incentive for all the early birds in the house, the Main Event Bubble Protection. This is a very powerful perk to have. In the event that you find yourself falling as the unfortunate bubble but are insured with bubble protection, then you will receive a consolation prize of one free seat to the next APT Main Event of the same value or you can receive the equivalent in APT credits.
One important reminder though, for Day 1A players re-entering or going for multiple stacks in Day 1B, you will have to re-qualify for the Bubble Protection in order to be insured. To qualify for Bubble Protection:
- Pre-register
- Draw for your seat
- Have your chips in play by the first deal of round 1.
It’s that easy.
