The Asian Poker Tour Philippines 2016 II will resume today at Resorts World Manila in Newport City, Philippines for another round of poker festivities running throughout the day. Kicking off at 1pm is Day 3 of the US$2,200 Main Event with 18 players returning. Last night also saw two events wrap up, the Pot Limit Omaha Hi and the WeLoveSport Deep Stack Turbo with trophies awarded to their respective winners.
Also, two side events will be in the today’s roster, the Monster Stack at 2pm and the MSW Deep Stack Turbo at 6pm. The past few days of Main Event action saw a field of 114 entries downsize to 18 players last night. All of them are now in the money, guaranteed at least US$4,100. The eventual winner will be taking home US$56,600 along with the APT Championship Trophy and APT Championship Ring. But first, they will first be gunning for a Final 8 berth here in Day 3.
Entering the day with a monstrous stack to back her up is Guam’s Annie Bordallo with 1,201,000 chips. She is trailed by Canada’s Linh Tran with 895,000 chips. On the other end of the totem pole is Korea’s Ji Woon Kim who will be bringing up the rear with 7,000 chips.

Pot Limit Omaha Hi results
The first side event of yesterday’s festivities was the Pot Limit Omaha Hi event. There were 44 players who entered the event, each one contributing US$440 to the pot. The total prize pool grew to US$17,070 with five places getting a payout. Rising to the top for his first trophy at the festival was UK’s Samad Razavi who faced Malaysia’s Michael Soyza at the heads up round. Both players struck a deal and resumed with Razavi defeating Soyza. Razavi is currently running second in the APT Player of the Year 2016 standings and with this win, it will help boost his points. Razavi earned US$6,050 for his victory while runner-up Soyza claimed US$5,040.

The WLS Deep Stack Turbo was the last event of to wrap up. There were 96 entries for a prize pool of US$13,970 and ten players seeing a profit. There were a mixed bag of players in field, however the one who would take it all the way to the finish line was Japan’s Toshiyuki Onda who defeated Filipino Joey Pardales at heads up to claim the first place purse of US$3,800 and the APT event trophy.
