Main Event Day 1C rockin’ the VSOP; last chance satellite at 6pm

The sound of shuffling chips can be heard all over the Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP) with players filling the tables for Day 1C of the APT Summer Festival Hanoi – MAIN EVENT. This is the last starting day offered and the last day to try to build a big stack for Day 2. To kick off the day, only 33 entries were needed to breach the VN₫ 5 Billion guarantee. This was quickly surpassed within minutes of the first level. At the time of writing the tally was over 100 and climbing.

Currently seated are numerous re-entry players from the previous heats such as reigning champion Shardul Parthasarathi, Huu Dung Nguyen, and Quang Nguyen. Among the new faces are past champion Hue Dang, Le Ngoc Khanh, and Vamerdino Magsakay. They are now halfway through scheduled play. Players will bag up at the end of Level 9. One great thing about the Main Event structure, you can sign up in Day 2 before the start of Level 12. If you sign up at the last second, you will still have a playable 21 BB stack. You can view the structure via the link provided below.

For great value, players can try to secure a seat at the last Main Event Satellite which gets underway tonight at 6pm. Buy in is VN₫ 4,800,000 with “1 in 5” winning a seat into Day 2.
