Main Event Day 1B underway, S-DST highlights 3 Side Events

PASAY CITY, Philippines – After an unprecedented five trophies were handed out yesterday, three more are in the offing including (Event #10) the popular Super Deep Stack Turbo (S-DST) while Day 1B of the Main Event commences as weekend action picks up the the Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 Philippines at the Grand Wing Casino, Newport World Resorts here.

Philippine poker icon Mike Takayama led yesterday’s charge by picking up his 12th APT title in (Event #8) the first PhP65,000 (US$1,135) Single-Day High-Rollers while Filipina Hazel Timonera claimed the title in the comebacking (Event #6) “Women of Poker” (Ladies event). 

Today, the S-DST will be accompanied by (Event #11) the second PhP65,000 (US$1,135) Single-Day High-Rollers at 2:00PM (UCT+8) as well as (Event #12) the third Hyper Deep Stack Turbo tiff at 10:00PM.

Day 1B of the Main Event also has its attendance starting to pick up.

Already spotted in the venue are reigning Main Event titlist Hernan Villa, ten-time APT champion John Tech, Korean poker sensation and APT titlist Hwany Lee and Kai Danilo Paulsen of Norway who is in search of his 19th APT title.

There will also be one “Last Chance” Super Satellite tonight at 6:00PM (UCT+8).
