HomeAPT Korea Seoul 2019 wrapped up its third day at Grand Walkerhill Paradise Casino with Day 1A of the Main Event as the top attraction. This was the first of two starting days offered. The event comes backed by a KRW 180 million guarantee.
By the end of the scheduled eight rounds of play, 56 runners registered with only 22 surviving the heat. Bagging the lead was USA’s John Kim with 107,400 in chips.

Not too far behind the leader was Hong Kong’s Choy Wai Tak with 105,000. And to round out the top three was Macau’s Gu Huidong with 94,500. This was another strong showing for Huidong who took down the High Rollers #1 event yesterday. Also making it through was APT decorated champion Tetsuya Tsuchikawa.

There are two Main Event incentives to take advantage of: Main Event Bubble Protection and Dafabet APT Survivor.
Side Event results
Running alongside the Main Event were two side events up for grabs. Those concluded with Sakurai Kengo and Liu Xiang lifting a golden lion trophy off the awards table.
The High Rollers single day drew 29 entries, and with each buy-in at KRW 2,150,000, it produced a prize pool of KRW 56,260,000. Of that, 5 players claimed a cut. Sakurai Kengo won the largest of KRW 24,036,000.

The other side event was the first KRW 330,000 Pot Limit Omaha event. Only 10 players took interest for a prize pool of KRW 2,910,000. Closing that out was China’s Liu Xiang to pocket KRW 2,037,000. The only other player to also profit was 2nd placer Japan’s Nonaka Masayuki for KRW 873,000.
