Full APT Finale Philippines 2018 schedule
In addition to the main, the High Rollers event resumes at 1pm with 22 players out of the 58 entries heading back. The event had a PHP 107,500 buyin for a prizepool of PHP 5,626,000 (~US$107,400). The top 10 will get paid with the winner pocketing the PHP 1,639,700 first prize.
The NLH (Shot Clock) event also failed to complete yesterday. The final 8 players will return at 1pm as well for the race to the PHP 397,000 first prize. 175 runners jumped in this event, each one contributing PHP 22,000 for a pot of PHP 1,455,000 (~US$27,700). The money flowed starting at 13th place. We will have the results for you once it concludes.
James Auld wins the MSW DeepStack Turbo
The MegaSportsWorld Deepstack Turbo event was the second out of three side events extending a guarantee. This event boasted of a PHP 1 Million prizepool. Players filed in trying to get in on the action creating long lines and an alternate list of nearly 100 players. In the aftermath, 208 signed up for a juicy pot of PHP 1,008,800 (~US$19,200).
The event lasted past the witching hour. Lifting up the trophy was Canada’s James Auld defeating Japan’s Katsuhiro Mori at heads up. He earned the PHP 213,700 first prize and his first-ever APT title.
Other players making it to the final table were Filipino pro Mike Takayama and MSW players Guilherme Matsunaga. They finished 3rd and 4th respectively.
