With under two weeks to go before another leg of the most prestigious poker event in Asia begins, the anticipation is building up as players from Asia and beyond look forward to APT Macau starting Saturday 6th November.
For the first time in the history of the tour, the APT has allotted three Day 1’s for the Main Event adding a rather interesting twist to the already exciting event. The APT Macau 2010 Main Event opens with Day 1A on November 7 (Sunday); while Day 1B starts three days after on November 10 (Wednesday); Day 1C on November 11 (Thursday); Day 2 and 3 on November 12 (Friday) and 13 (Saturday) with the Final Table schedule set on November 14 (Sunday) to close out the Macau festivities.
The Day 1A (November 7) opening provides players the option of choosing what is best for their schedule especially those from Hong Kong and China who may prefer to start their Main Event run on a Sunday.
SIDE EVENTS GALORE
Already an APT tradition, the tour offers multiple side events which assure players of a nine-day schedule packed with mad poker action. Among them is the Ladies of Poker event, where the women of the felt have the chance to prove that they belong with the best of them in this business. The ladies see action on November 7 (Sunday) starting at 4PM. Also available are the High Rollers Event and Dafapoker 6-Handed Event on November 9 (Tuesday) and the PKR Head-Hunter Event on November 10 (Wednesday) among a total of 11 side events scattered for the duration of the APT Macau 2010. WORLD-CLASS POKER PRO
Already assured of a competitive field, things just got a little more exciting in Macau with the confirmation that eight-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Phil Ivey will attend the festivities. As of 2010, the 34-year-old American has total live tournament winnings of roughly US$13.5M. With a chance to rub elbows with one of the most feared players in the world, players from Asia and beyond will look forward to busting out one of the most popular poker players in the world!
TOP-NOTCH TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR
Back in action on top of things is none other than Matt Savage, one of the most popular, most in-demand and well-respected tournament directors in the world. Savage was signed by the World Poker Tour (WPT) earlier this year as Executive Tour Director and he has served as the tournament director in most legs of the APT in the last three years.
THE MUST-EXPERIENCE DESTINATION
