Just after doubling up Hung Nguyen, Hai Chuot got all his chips on a flop 9♦ 8♣ 6♦ while holding J♣ J♦ however his opponent, Lien Kang Feng had Q♦ Q♥. Needing some luck from the poker gods, it came on the turn with the J♠ improving him to a set and victory was ensured with J♥ on the river for quads.
Short stacked Hung Nguyen was all in with K♠ J♠ and was looked up by Hai Chuot with A♠ 7♠. The board ran 9♣ J♥ 2♣ 5♠ 8♣ for a winning pair to avoid elimination.
