Nguyen Van Sang pushed with K♥ K♠ and landed a double up against Le Van Dien aka Kenny’s 9♦ 9♥. He now has 281k, Kenny down to130k.
Dang Duy Thanh entered Day 3 as one of the biggest stacks and continues the grind now chipped up to 720k. He picked up two pots, one against Sumit Sapra with pocket Tens beating pocket Sixes on king high board. The other hand was against Ankit Jajodia, betting the river and not getting called to win the 99k pot.
At Day 2, Rijad Hasani railed more than a handful of players and is back on the beat having just eliminated Dzung Chu. On a board 2♥ 3♣ J♠ 4♦ and 135k in the pot, Chu was all in, Hasani called, Katsu folded. Chu had Q♣ Q♥ and was dominated by Hasani’s A♦ A♣. The river 6♦ finished off Chu while Hasani climbed to 685k.
Anuphad Khong Dechudomkul entered the day with a healthy 40 BB stack but after suffering two hits, the third one sent him out of the running. His last all in was against Hue Dang who had just cracked his pocket Aces. He had A♠ Q♣, Dang ahead with 9♣ 9♠, the board ran 9♥ 2♦ K♠ 7♥ 8?. Dang up to 390k.
The amount of crazy hands that have been tabled throughout the series continues with another one coming down at table 20. Sumit Sapra was all in with A♦ K♣, called by Tran Huy Hoang with A♥ K♦, the board ran 10♦ 2♠ 7♦ 5♦ 6♦ for a nutty flush to Sapra and a double up to 546k. Tran dropped to 290k.
Hue Dang is the lone APT champion in the running and she just doubled up with 7♣ 7♦ cracking Anuphad Khong Dechudomkul’s A♦ A♣. The board ran 9♦ 5♣ 6♥ 3♠ 7♥. Dang is up to 200k, Dechudomkul is down to 105k.
After Macaron Tran doubled up Minh Beo, it sent his stack down to 60k which he pushed with Q♣ 9♣. No luck came with Pham Tien Dung’s K♥ 9♠ holding up.
Next to the rail was Keigo Fujimoto who jammed with Q♠ J♦ only to run smack into Norbert Koh’s Q♦ Q♥.
Field is down to 31 players.
With a big pot in the middle amounting to 130k, Katsu bet 48k, Tran Nam Trung shoved well covering Katsu, Katsu tanked. After using his remaining three time banks, Katsu folded and showed A♣ J♠ straight. Tran up to 555K, Katsu down to 185k.
Another player goes bust… Hajime Murase three-bet shoved with Q♥ J♦, got called by initial raiser David Erquiaga with K♦ K♣. No improvement on the board for Murase. Erquiaga chipped up further to 870K.
