Painful departure for Yung Bing Chu who was setting a trap for big stack Chan Lok Ming only to get burned on the river. The hand began with utg Mark Yeow raising to 2700, three-bet by utg+1 Chan to 7500, called by utg+2 Yung, fold from Yeow.

At the flop J Q 6, Chan check-called Yung’s 10k bet. On the turn 4, Chan put Yung all in and Yung obliged for his tournament life.

The river was unkind to Yung as it fell 10 for a crushing straight to Chan and the win. Yung busted. Chan up to 180k.


Anson Wong gets good pay for his boat

Level: 12 Blinds: 600-1200 Ante: 1200

Catching the action on a turn board 8 6 Q 3, bb Anson Wong bet 11k onto a 22k pot and Cheng Shien-Chien called. On the river 3, Wong bet 30k, Cheng tank called. Wong showed 6 6 full house. Wong up to 160k.


Kuang Lee earns a splash

Utg raised to 2500, called by three players including bb Kuang “Luke” Lee. At the flop A 2 10, everyone checked. On the turn 4, Lee led for 4100 and found one customer in Eric Widjaja. The river 8 saw Lee send out 6k. Widjaja called. Lee showed A J to win the pile of chips in the middle.

Utg Deng Deng Kai raised to 2400, the blinds called for a three-way look at the flop 9 9[10c}. Sb checked, bb Shyh Chyn Lim fired 9k, utg Deng raised to 15k, sb folded, Lim tank-folded.


Anthony Abram up to 200k, exposes Lettau’s bluff

Anthony Abram has risen to be one of the current chip leaders. His latest winning pot was against Andre Lettau. Sitting side by side, action folded to Abram on the small blind. He limped in. Big blind Lettau raised to 3700, Abram called. On the flop 5 7 K, Abram led for 3k, Lettau called. On the turn 10 Abram checked, Lettau bet 9k, Abram called. On the river 10, Abram checked, Lettau fired 17k and was quickly called. Lettau had to show the bluff 9 6. Abram took the pot with K 6 two pair. Abram up to 200k.

Lettau pushed his remaining 16.7k on the next hand holding A 10 and fell to He Zong Chi’s A J on a dry board.


Short stacked Mike Takayama doubles up

Level: 12 Blinds: 600-1200 Ante: 1200

Cutoff Hsieh Chi Han opened for 2600, button Mike Takayama three-bet all in for around 13k, big blind Hoosuk Wong called but Hsieh opted to fold.

Sparrow Cheung falls to Chang Yu Chung

Sparrow Cheung’s stack dropped low enough for a push with A J. However, Chang Yu Chung called with Q J that found a queen on the flop to hold and send Cheung to the exit. Chang up to 60k.


Win some lose some for Anson Wong

Anson Wong entered the day as one of the big stacks. His stack has further grown to 130k but not after losing some to Sparrow Cheung.

First hand, Cheung raised to 2100 from cutoff. Wong defended on the big blind. At the flop A 2 3, Wong check-called 2500. On the turn Q, Wong check-folded to a 7500 bet. Cheung took the pot.

The next hand, Cheng Sheng Chien raised to 2300 from cutoff, sb Wong three-bet to 6800, bb Tsai Yu You Ci called. Back to Cheng who called. At the flop 9 5 2, Wong c-bet 8500, Tsai jammed his short stack, Cheng folded, Wong with the quick call.

Ma Chun Yu tanks two and takes it

Chih Ying Liang raised to 2300, called by three players down the orbit. On the flop 10 A K, Liang c-bet 3500, called by Chien Fa Chou, raised to 10.5k by Ma Chun Yu, David Tai folded, Liang and Chien called.

On the turn Q, two checks was followed by a jam worth 24.8k from Ma. Liang and Chein both tank-folded. Ma nears 80k.
