On a board 10 7 2 8 and 83k pot, sb Le Cong Vuong shoved his 68k stack, big stacked Francis Garson tank-called. Vuong had 7 7 set, Garson 4 5 flush, the river 8 saved Vuong with a full house to double up. He chipped up to 219k, Garson dropped to around 520k. Despite the drop Garson is still deep with average at 160k.

Championships Event new record! 288 entries

It is official! A new APT Vietnam record has been set at the Championships Event with 288 total entries! The previous high was at the 2019 APT Vietnam Kickoff series with 248 entries. In addition, the massive turnout more than doubled the VND 4BN guarantee. Players are now looking at a sweeter prize pool of VND 9,777,600,000 (~US$ 416,866). 29 players will see a piece of the pot with minimum payout at VND 66,820,000. Up top is a huge VND 2,298,440,000 (~US$ 97,993) which is higher than the Main Event first place prize money.
