Within the first half hour of the Main Event a player was already sent to the rail. On a turn board of 3♣ 6♠ 6♥ 7♦, Andrei Dementev bet 4k and was called by the player next to him. They went on to see the river card of 4♠ and Dementev moved all in. He was called and when the cards were revealed, Dementev had 3♣ 3♠ for a full house while the other had K♠ 3♦ for trips. Dementev won the pot and left the player stunned at his loss.
Jerwin Pasco just earned himself a nice pot in a hand that we caught on on the river. The board showed K♣ 8♣ 3♣ A♠ 7♥ and the pot was already at 6k. Pasco bet 4650 and he was check-called by the only other player in the hand with him. Pasco showed his 7♣ 4♣ flush and scooped the pot.
Taking down a nice early pot is always good for the bankroll especially when you have the starting nuts. Ahn Seong Hwan looked down at a pair of aces and watched as the action at his table kicked off with a raise to 250 by the hijack player, called by Seung Soo Jeon, then on his big blind, Hwan three-bet to 2050. The initial raiser called while Jeon folded. At the flop of 6♠ 7♣ K♥, Hwan led out for 5k and was called. At the turn of 10♠, he decided to shove and this time he wasn’t called. Hwan showed his A♠ A♣.
Here at the Main Event felt right now are some notables such as Marcuss Liow, Jae Chul Chang, Dhaval Mudgal, Seung Soo Jeon, Yao Hui, Kunal Patni, Edilberto Gopez, and John King.
