Giam grinds for more

Jeremy Giam has a load of chips he can play with and uses it to grind some players down. With everyone folding to his small blind, he raised to 7k and big blind player Marc Rivera called. At the flop of 6 Q 6, Giam bet 10k and took it without a challenge from Rivera.


Chua muscles up with his stack

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

With Kunal Patni raising to 7k and Guofu Chen calling, Ying Lim Chua wanted the pot and shoved his 76.5k chips in front of the betting line. This was a good move with everyone folding and he won the pot. Chua showed his pocket eights.


Keong lands another double up

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

With the blinds having just gone up, Chen Teck Keong needed another double up which he found in this hand. Action began with Jeremy Giam raising to 7k, Marc Rivera called, then Keong went all in. Big-stacked called and Rivera got out of the way. Keong had A A and Giam had K Q. The board ran rags and Keong was paid a nice double up pile.


Double up for Liank

Level: 16 Blinds: 1500-3000 Ante: 500

Wong Pol Liank had 23k left and he found a spot to double up, especially against big-stacked player John Sayo. Liank went all in preflop, Sayo called and it was pocket queens versus pocket jacks. The board kept Liank’s hand ahead and his ladies doubled him up.


Martin tanks Kang then doubles up

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

What a scoop for Ben Martin! He began the hand by raising to 5500 and was called by both Paawan Bansal and William Kang. At the flop of 4 2 J, Kang checked to Martin who continued with a 7500 bet. Bansal folded and Kang called. At the turn, both players checked. The river card of K was dealt and Kang bet 10,5k. Martin replied with an all in of an additional 27.7k sending Kang tanking. Kang tried to get a read on Martin. Kang eventually called and was crushed to see Martin’s K K full house.


Yogo out of the main event

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Iori Yogo needed to get something going with his roughly around 30k stack. He raised to 6k preflop and got a call from Lim Yo Hwan. When action landed on the massive-stacked Jeremy Giam, he re-raised to 15k. Yogo snap all in and Giam snap called. Yogo had A K and Giam had 10 10. The board only dropped blanks for Yogo and he was eliminated from the main event.


Keong gets some Sapitavicius

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

With the blinds increasing, short stacks are heard announcing all in. Chen Teck Keong pushed on top of monster-stacked Jeremy Giam’s raise to 6k that was called by Marc Rivera. Acting next to Keong was Arunas Sapitavicius who also went all in with his below average stack. Giam and Keong got out of the way and it was time to reveal their hole cards. Sapitavicius had A Q and Keong had 9 9. The board ran [4c} 8 K 2 9 and with his set, Keong doubled up through Sapitavicius.


Patni gets away from big-stacked Gaw

Action preflop started with Kunal Patni raising to 5500. Big-stacked Gaw three-bet to 15k. Patni called. At the flop of 4 J 8, Patni checked to Gaw who slid out 20k worth of chips. Patni folded.


Yogo gives up big pot to Giam

Level: 15 Blinds: 1200-2400 Ante: 400

Jeremy Giam is on a mission to simply amass chips and in this hand against Iori Yogo, he put Yogo to a challenge. Yogo raised to 6k, Giam re-raised to 15k, and Yogo called. At the flop of Q J 2, both players checked, and same as well on the turn of 3, then on the river of J, Yogo led out for 15k leaving himself 20k behind. Giam pushed his massive stack and Yogo folded.
