Next to fall was short-stacked Jae Chul Chang. Initially, he raised to 10k then was all in when John Sayo pushed. Chang had pocket tens and Sayo had pocket queens. Though not needed, the board ran well for Sayo, giving him a full house.
Paawan Bansal was all in with around 50k, Jun Saito followed suit with more chips, and it was Saito with A♦ K♣ and Bansal with K♠ J♦. The board bricked and Bansal was out.
Gerald Casey had a great run at the main event but it ended short of the money. Casey had just lost a pot to Yen Yau Shern and decided to get all in, around 60k, and Jeremy Giam snap called. At the showdown, Casey had A♦ 10♥ and Giam had the nuts, A♥ A♠. The board ran 7♣ Q♣ 10♠ 5♠ 6♥ and with that, Casey was eliminated.
Guofu Chen picked up right where he left off last night, amassing chips against Kota Nakano. Catching the action on the flop of K♦ A♥ 4♥ and a raised pot before them, Nakano checked to Chen who bet 16k. Nakano called. At the turn of J♥, Nakano checked again and Chen bet 30k, Nakano called. The on the river of 9♠, Nakano checked once more and then called Chen’s 45k bet. Chen had A♦ K♥ for top two pairs. Nakano mucked. Nakano down to around 68k and Chen up to around 400k.
