Ichinose eliminates Tay

Benjamin Tay moved all in with his ailing stack of 12k and Kosei Ichinose quickly called. Tay had pocket tens and Ichinose had pocket kings. The board bricked and Tay was eliminated.


Gaw bags a big double up to around 160k

Level: 11 Blinds: 500-1000 Ante: 100

Most often, preflop raise wars usually mean all ins and big big hands….. as in the case in this hand. Action began with Kevin Park raising to 2500. Two seats over, Andrew Gaw three-bet to 6300. Then action folded to Ben Martin who four-bet to 18,500. This was enough for Park to step away from and give Gaw the action. Gaw made it 38,500. Martin responded with a push and Gaw was not going anywhere as he quickly called. Gaw had A[ad} and Martin had A K. The board ran J Q 5 Q 5 and Gaw won a big double up. Gaw climed to over 160k chips.


Ota dominates Tran’s flush

Level: 11 Blinds: 500-1000 Ante: 100

Linh Tran and Naruyasu Ota were both all in on a board of Q Q 9 10. Tran had 7 6 flush however he was way behind Ota’s 10 10 full house. The river card of 4 was inconsequential and Ota doubled up to almost 90k chips.

Lim Yo Hwan earned himself a nice pot against Azusa Maeda that seemed to shock the players at the table. Preflop action began with Maeda raising to 2k and was called by both Hwan and another player. At the flop of A 4 5, Maeda continued and bet 3k. Hwan called and the other player folded. At the turn of 2, both checked. On the river of K, Hwan initiated the betting by putting 7k in. Maeda called and Hwan showed his 7 8 winning flush.

Sim Jae Kyung earned a decent pot was hoping for more. He started off the hand by raising to 2200 on his turn. Il Kwon Kim and limper Chen Teck Keong both called. At the flop of A 4[jh}, everyone checked. At the turn of 10, still no betting. Then on the river of K, Simba bet a measly 1k. Both Kim and Keong folded. Simba showed his pocket aces.


Giam vs Liow again

Jeremy Giam goes toe-to-toe against Marcuss Liow again. For this battle, Giam raised to 2500 preflop and four players called. At the flop of Q 7 2, everyone checked. The dealer then opened up the turn card of K. Giam bet 5k and Liow was the only player who matched it. On the river of 10, Giam continued and bet 12.5k. Liow opted to fold and Giam was kind enough to show his K top pair.


A rockin’ boat for Saito

Jun Saito just scored himself a nice pot. The hand began with Jae Chul Chang raising to 2200 and three players made the call. At the flo p of 2 3 5, action checked to Bansal on the button. Bansal decided to try and take it with a 3700 bet and got one caller, Saito, to challenge him for the pot. At the turn of 3, it was check from both. Then on the river of 7, Saito jumped in the betting arena and slid out 7500 worth of chips. After tanking for some time, Bansal called. Saito revealed his 5 5 full house and won the hand.


Dementev takes it with a shove

One of the day’s chip leaders, Jae Chul Chang kicked off the action at the flop of 5 6 J by betting 3500. Acting next, to his immediate left was Guofu Chen who raised to 7k. Then to Chen’s immediate left, Andrei Dementev joined the action and announced all in. Dementev had 51,200 chips. Chang and Chen folded and Dementev won the pot.


Marzan doubles up through Patni

Edwin Marzan is picking up some chips. In this hand he doubled up against Kunal Patni. Catching the action at the turn betting with a board showing 2 10 5 Q, Marzan bet 6k into a 15k pot. Patni called. On the river of 3, Marzan went all in with his remaining 7k and Patni called. Marzan had K K and took the pot when Patni mucked.
