Lester Edoc in back-to-back action

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 500

At the start of the day, we overheard a player say he wouldn’t let Lester Edoc rule the table again. Well, for these back-to-back hands, Edoc was definitely in command. The first pot saw Patrick Liang raise to 10.5k, called by Roy Gurner, then three-bet by Edoc to 31.5k. No calls came and he claimed the pot.

Next hand, Edoc raise to 11.5k and big blind Yun Bong called. At the flop Q 8 2, both players checked. On the A turn, Edoc bet 16k and Bong check-called. Then with the river 5, both checked and Edoc won it with A-2 two pair.


Fu Bang rails one then pays Hisashi Ogi

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 500

Fu Bang Huang has been the massive chip leader at his table for a good part of an hour and earned more after taking down Eric Wasylenko with Q Q over 10 10. Not long after though, he lost some of those winnings to Hisashi Ogi. Ogi was all in with A A and Huang had J J. The board ran dry. Ogi climbed to 315k while Huang has 240k. Both are above average stack.


Lim Yo Hwan rails another

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 500

Lim Yo Hwan aka Boxer claimed another head at his table. On a flop 5 7 K, Takayasu Takumi shoved and Boxer with the snap-call. Takumi had A-Q while Boxer with 9 9. The turn J and river 5 completed the board and Takumi filed out.


Iori Yogo set over set against Takayama

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 500

Iori Yogo has just gotten a nice double boost to his stack. He was all in with 9-9 and was challenged by Mike Takayama with 6-6. The board came down 10-4-9-8-6 for a set to both with Yogo higher. He now has around 170k while Takayama dropped to 80k. 


Hanna Khalife gets in the action

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Hanna Khalife shook some chips off Fu Bang Huang with consistent bets throughout this hand. After Huang raised to 9500, he three-bet to 21k from the small blind. Huang called. At the flop 2 3 5, Khalife continued with a 21k bet, and Huang called. On the 2 turn, Khalife bet again and this time he claimed the pot with a quick fold from Huang.


Eugene Co doubled up by Erling Voje

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Eugene Co has been fiddling around with his short stack but finally slid it to the pile after picking up K K. Initial raiser Erling Voje called with a slightly higher stack and A 8. The board ran 6 J K 4 2 for a double up to Co and Voje down to 18k.

Voje fell a few hands after in 44th place.


Victor Chong leads…

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

We aren’t sure how it happened but it seems Victor Chong now leads with 410k. Second is Nguyen Hoang Bach with just under 400k.


Richard Torres vs Ha Duong

Level: 17 Blinds: 2000-4000 Ante: 500

Richard Torres was moved to a new table and soon found himself facing off with one of the decorated APT champions Ha Duong. Torres raised to 10.5k, Duong three-bet to 34k, Torres four-bet to 130.5k, sending Duong in contemplation. Duong folded and Torres earned a nice pot.


Table 2 loses a couple..

Table 2 has just lost two players… Nang Quang Nguyen first then Ian Williams. Williams lost to Lim Yo Hwan. We saw the hand at the sweep with the board showing 6 2 6 6 A. Williams had 9 7 and Lim had 6 7.
