Derick Hernandez picks up two

Derick Hernandez has climbed to 800k after winning two decent sized pots. The first one he raised to 27k from the utg seat and got called by the blinds Ernesto Ouano and Victor Chong. The board ran A 5 7 6 J and with no bets fired by any of the trio, Hernandez won it with Q J pair.

The next winning hand, Hanna Khalife raised to 28k from the utg seat and Hernandez defended on the big blind. At the flop 4 Q 5, Hernandez check-called Khalife’s 32k bet. The turn 10 and river 3 saw no further bets and Hernandez won with K Q.


Lim Yo Hwan avoids the rail; triples up

Lim Yo Hwan put his last remaining 129k in the middle and got called by two players, Yun Bong and Hiroyuki Yoshimura. The board ran 6 J 5 4 2 with no bets for a side pot. Yo Hwan turned over 3 3 for a winning straight over 9 9 and A K. He tripled to 420k.


Mike Takayama with two double ups

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

At the start of this level, Mike Takayama landed a double up through chip leader Flo Campomanes with his 9 8 improving to a straight on a board that ran 5 6 6 K 7. Campomanes had pocket tens.

He doubled up again through Campomanes in a later hand with K K filling up against A K on a board 3 2 4 4 4. He now has 215k and will need to double up once more to get close to average stack.


Thinh Hoa Nguyen out 16th – PHP209,600

Thinh Hoa Nguyen was eliminated by Dylan Kii. Nguyen had A 4 and Kii with K 6. The board was ran 6 7 10 5 J for a pair to Kii. Nguyen earned Php209,600 for his deep finish.

SJ Kim falls to Campomanes in 17th – PHP209,600

Soojo Kim took a hard tumble in 17th place with Flo Campomanes delivering the axe. The hand began with five players in on a raised pot preflop to 27k.

The flop 2 K J saw Campomanes bet 10k from mid position, check-called by sb Ha Duong, then check-raised by SJ Kim on the bb seat. Only Campomanes continued and the turn landed 6. Kim went all in and snap-called by Campomanes.

The river 8 completed the board and with no improvement to Kim’s hand, he bowed out in 17th place. He earned Php209,600.


Cooler sends Hajime Mogi out in 18th place – PHP209,600

Level: 21 Blinds: 5000-10000 Ante: 1000

Hajime Mogi was the first to go in the final two tables. He raised to 26k, Hanna Khalife three-bet to 76k, Mogi shoved, and quick call from Khalife with more chips.

Ha Duong doubles up through Yoshimura

Level: 21 Blinds: 5000-10000 Ante: 1000

Ha Duong was all in with pocket jacks and doubled up through Hiroyuki Yoshimura with pocket sevens. Duong climbed to 480k while Yoshimura had fell to 500k which is still above average stack.


Hanna Khalife doubles up with rockets

Level: 21 Blinds: 5000-10000 Ante: 1000

While Jun Obara was packing up, at a separate table, Hanna Khalife doubled up through Lim Yo Hwan. Khalife had A A and Lim Yo Hwan with A K. No bad beat came on the board and Khalife climbed to nearly 400k.
