Hiroyuki Yoshimura may have paid up a hefty pile to Lester Edoc’s double up but he is battling hard to recover them. He picked up two nice pots to help him on his way. On the first pot, the flop was 4 3 2, Edoc bet 125k, Yoshimura raised to 375k, and took it down.

On the next winning pot, Edoc limped, Yoshimura raised to 370k, and got the call from the Filipino. On the flop A A J no bets came but on the 7 turn, Yoshimura slid out a stack of reds totaling 500k and Edoc folded.


Lester Edoc doubles up to 2.3M

Lester Edoc moved all in with A 8 and Hiroyuki Yoshimura called with K 2. The board came down 6 A Q 4 2 for a double up to Edoc. He now has around 2.3M. Yoshimura at 5.8M.

On a limped pot preflop, the dealer spread A 2 Q flop. Hiroyuki Yoshimura bet 250k and Edoc called. On the A turn, both checked. On the 6 river, Yoshimura went back to his stack and slid out 250k, Edoc called. Yoshimura showed Q 5 for two pair and the win.

Edoc down to 1.1M, Yoshimura 7M.

Hiroyuki Yoshimura is giving the Filipino pro a tough time earning cips here. He denied him another pot that sent his stack up to 6.6M and Edoc’s to 1.5M.

On a raised pot preflop, the board came A J J. Yoshimura check-raised Edoc’s 150k bet to 300k. Edoc called. On the 6 turn, Yoshimura checked, Edoc bet 400k, then faced a shove from Yoshimura. Edoc folded.

Hiroyuki Yoshimura won a few pots that has sent Lester Edoc’s stack down to 2.2M. The first saw Yoshimura limp in and Edoc check. The flop ran 5 7 J, Edoc checked, Yoshimura bet 200k, and no call from Edoc.

The next hand was chunkier with Yoshimura raising to 260k and Edoc with the call. At the flop 3 A J, Edoc checked, Yoshimura c-bet 250k and got the call. On the 9, no bets came, then on the K river, Edoc jumped out with a 260k bet and Yoshimura was called.

The third pot saw Edoc raise to 245k and Yoshimura call on the bb. At the flop 8 9 6, Yoshimura bet 250k and won it with Edoc surrendering his hand. Yoshimura 6.9M.

After Hiroyuki Yoshimura claimed that huge pot, Lester Edoc has gone back on the grind that he does so well. He has won a majority of the next hands between them and is now at 3.5M. Yoshimura is at 4.6M.


No action in the first six hands then Yoshimura lands a big one

After six hands of hardly any betting action, we saw the first big pot get shipped with Hiroyuki Yoshimura on the receiving end. Action began with Yoshimura limping in and a check from Edoc.

The flop came 6 5 2. Edoc checked, Yoshimura bet 200k and Edco flat-called. On the Q turn, action was the same with Edoc check-calling 400k. On the river Q, Yoshimura fired out 1M, and Edoc stuck with it and called.

Yoshimura had 4 3 straight and that got a head shake from Edoc as he mucked. Yoshimura up to 6.6M and Edoc down to 2.5M.

Flo Campomanes’s run for the title has ended two spots short with Lester Edoc driving in the final nail. He was all in with Q 8 and Edoc had A A. No magic on the flop arrived. He earned Php1,237,400 for his efforts.
