Hanna Khalife wants in on the action, ships in a huge double up

Hanna Khalife may have been giving up some big pots to big bettors but not this time. On a completed board K 4 3 10 10 with betting at every stage between him and chip leader Dylan Kii, the river saw him bet 118k, Kii raise to 260k, Khalife all in for 437k, and Kii with the call. Khalife showed 4 4 full house and won the pot after Kii mucked.

Khalife soared to 1M while Kii dropped to 1.2M.


Lester Edoc takes two then loses a big one to Dylan Kii

While Flo Campomanes is stacking up, so are a couple of players on the other felt. Lester Edoc claimed two pots. The first one he bet 60k on a flop 6 3 4. Hanna Khalife raised to 130k. Edoc jammed. Khalife folded.

Next hand, Derick Hernandez raised to 40k, Edoc three-bet to 115k, then won it with no challenge from Hernandez.

On the third hand though, the pot didn’t make it to his corner of the felt, instead, Dylan Kii took it down. Kii raised to 45k, Edoc re-raised to 115k (like previous), and Kii called. On the flop Q A 8, Kii check-called Edoc’s 80k bet. On the 4 turn, same action with Kii check-calling a 180k bet from Edoc. Then the 10 river slowed Edoc down. Kii showed his A J and won it with Edoc mucking.

Kii is the leader with 1.8m in chips.


Flo Campomanes takes not one but two…… pots

Level: 24 Blinds: 10000-20000 Ante: 3000

Flo Campomanes is may have retaken the chip lead, getting richer after winning two pots. The first one, he raised to 45k preflop, Lim Yo Hwan “Boxer” three-bet to 112k, and Campomanes called.

On the flop 8 8 3, both players checked and the turn landed 6. Campomanes bet 54k and the call came. On the 8 river, it was checked by both and Campomanes won with K 4 flush.

Next winning hand he raised to 42k and Yun Bong on the big blind defended. At the flop 4 9 5, Bong check-called 25k. On the A turn, Campomanes bet 57k, and this time he took it with Bong folding.

He now has over 1.6M.


Victor Chong exits in 12th place – PHP241,200

Level: 23 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Victor Chong has fallen in 12th place and what did it were two hands back-to-back. The first one was up against Derick Hernandez. On a raised pot preflop, sb Chong bet 16k on a flop of 3 5 A and Hernandez called on the bb. On the 7 turn, Chong fired out 80k only to get popped with an all in by Hernandez. Chong tanked for some time and the clock was called. He timed out and Hernandez won the pot.

Next hand he was all in with A 5 but couldn’t do better than Dylan Kii’s 9 9 full house on a board that ran K J 9 Q Q.

Chong earned Php241,200 for his deep run.


Ha Duong eliminated 13th – PHP241,200

Level: 23 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Ha Duong couldn’t recover from having doubled up Yun Bong in an earlier hand and was slowly grinded down. He did win a pot with K-9 trips on the nine but still too way below average. He eventually moved all in with a short stack holding Q-2 and was called by massive stacked Hiroyuki Yoshimura with J-4. Yoshimura paired up on the flop and that ended Duong’s run for a second title. He earned Php241,200 for his 13th place finish.


Yun Bong chunks down Ha Duong

Level: 23 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Yun Bong doubled up with A-J besting Ha Duong’s A-2 with the board running J-8-2-7-Q. Bong climbs to 680k while Duong dropped to 140k.


Iori Yogo and Mike Takayama bust 14th and 15th – PHP225,400

Level: 23 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Players went on a 10 minute break and when they got back, Iori Yogo was all in at his table and Mike Takayama at the other table.

Starting with Takayama, he was called by Hiroyuki Yoshimura. Takayama had A Q and Yoshimura with A K. The board ran 3 8 10 6 7 and with no hits for either, Takayama was eliminated. Takayaama’s bid for a third title was halted at 15th place.

As for Yogo, he was called by Ernesto Ouano Yogo three-bet shove on top of Ouano’s 32k initial raise. Yogo had K K and Ouano A Q. The board ran 9 7 2 A 5 for a higher pair spiked on the turn. Yogo was eliminated in 14th place.

Due to both players all in at separate tables on the first hand after the break, both players will split the 14th and 15th place cash. They each earned Php225,400.


Victor Chong lives on

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Victor Chong was all in with 3 3 and had to get lucky facing Ernesto Ouano with K K. The board granted him just that as it ran 6 3 9 8 8 for a full house.


Dylan Kii takes the chip lead; rises to 1.3M

Level: 22 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Flo Campomanes has competition for the chip leader’s status with Dylan Kii winning two big pot to drive his stack to over 1.3m. This means he is currently the chip leader. The first pot he won was against Hanna Khalife. Action preflop saw heavy raises that led to each putting in 100k.

The flop ran 10 J 6 and Khalife led for 100k. Kii smooth-called and the turn landed 2. Khalife checked, Kii moved all in, and seeing that he was covered, Khalife took time to contemplate. He folded and showed Q Q. Kii returned the gesture and showed one card, A.

His next winning pot was against Lester Edoc. We only caught it on the river betting on a board 3 Q 7 9 4. Kii slid out 250k to a pot of 400k and after tanking, Edoc gave up his hand.
